HUGGIE! Pit Bull Terrier Philadelphia, PA

MEET HUGGIE!

This beautiful girl is appropriately named Huggie! She's a 10ish year old Pit Bull mix who found her way to City of Elderly Love after her owner passed away and she spent some time in boarding. She's happily settled into foster care where we've gotten to know her sweet, gentle nature.

Though she's considered a senior by age, you'd never guess this girl was a day over middle-aged since she's in such great physical shape. Huggie walks great on the leash, loves going for walks where she can take in all the mysterious smells of the neighborhood, and is completely housebroken. We suspect she was given the name Huggie because she's an absolute love! She'll try to get as close to her human buds as possible, including trying to climb into your lap to give kisses or to snuggle on the couch. Huggie is currently living with three cats including a kitten who likes to use her tail as a toy. She plays with her gently and while grumbles when they struggle to get comfy on her while she naps, is happy to be their personal heating pad. While she isn't living with any currently, Huggie lived with another senior dog in her past home. She's a bit standoffish when meeting some dogs on walks, but seems to be the type of girl who requires a few interactions before she decides to make friends. 

Huggie has gotten a clean bill of health and is ready to head to her forever home. Because of her calm and easy-going personality, we think she'd be a great "first time dog" for someone or be an easy addition to a family looking for a mild mannered and gorgeous dog.
