Meet Hudu
http://littlebigdog.org/available-dogs/
I am a senior with the heart and soul of a puppy. I love to play play play. I love playing with other dogs. I am obedient, house-trained and crate-trained. I pack-walk off-leash and I stay with my pack! I walk nicely on leash with a easy-walk harness. I am 13+ years old. I'm in perfect health. When I get the "play" out of my system, I sleep like a born couch-potato! In other words, I am the perfect dog for an active person or a family with an active person. I require a fenced yard. If I am not an only dog, I must dine at a table for one. So no matter how much I might love my doggy roommates, I want to dine alone. I had an eye removed in the end of 2019. I prefer no surprises on the right side of my body. Speaking before approaching on the right is a good idea so that I'll turn my head and see you. I am charming and a lover. I love back scratches and I'm a world-class kisser. I don't do cats.
Unfortunately, I no longer match my profile from three years ago. Yes, there has not been ONE adoption interest in me in three years. I recently suffered two strokes. I am weak on my right side but I am independent and I still like to play! My cognition is not what it used to be either. I am slower in responding, and I am slow to eat, so my foster mom feeds me by hand. I continue to be house-trained with a doggy door, so my brain injury has not affected my indoor manners.Adoption fees are $200 unless otherwise stated. Senior residents of Dot's Old Dogs Home are generally not available for adoption. 100% of adoption fees are put back into the rescue so that another lonely and neglected chained/penned dog or yard-sale dog can be rescued. We are grateful for your interest.
Upon approval, the adoption fee is non-refundable. The fee includes the following: de-worming; grooming (if applicable); heartworm, lymes, ehrlichia and anaplasmosis testing; all vaccinations including rabies; flea and tick treatment, microchipping and spay/neuter.
Please contact us if you have questions about our adoptable dogs, we would love to talk to you!
