Meet Hubert, a neutered male, 5-pound, Chihuahua mix who was born around 2010.

Hubert has a grade 5 heart murmur and CHF, but it is currently controlled by meds (the cost is approximately $80.00 / month). He will have to be on meds forever and we are not sure how many years he has left, but he deserves to live the best life for whatever time he does have. He also has a patellar luxation, so he walks a little funny.

Hubert’s only accidents were when he was on high dose Lasix. That’s been decreased and as long as he goes outside frequently, he has no accidents.

Hubert loves other dogs and all people, but he would do best in a low-energy home with an owner that is home frequently. He would be best with older kids, because he is a little fragile.

Hubert is such a sweet, sweet dog. He’s so unlike most Chi’s. He’s quiet, eager to please, always happy, and loves everyone and everything. If you have other pets, he will want to cuddle for sure. He wants to cuddle everyone and everything. He just wants to be in your lap, next to you, on you, etc. He hates kennels and closed doors. A gate works great, though, as long as he can see through it.
