Hello! I'm a pretty and petite little pittie! My name is Howleen, thanks to my arrival at the shelter in October. But now that it's summer, my friend are calling me Hallie. I was adopted once, but when my new owner had to work many hours at a time, I was not happy being left in a crate. Can you blame me? So, I'm back. I'm a gorgeous red and chestnut shade that you don't often find. And see my eyes? Heart melting in 3, 2, 1..... I was found as a stray, and my past is a mystery. I'd like to be a spoiled pet, but I'm not sure about so many things. I'm nervous and high-energy, so I'd prefer to live with kids over 10 and adults who are active throughout the day. Jogging, running, and hiking might be my thing (along with a hearty meal to put some meat on my bones). I don't get along with cats and should not live with them; I also don't get along with most dogs, and I'd be happiest as your only pet. I'd like to take obedience classes to build my confidence. And most of all, I'd like to be with you throughout the day -- a day where we walk, jog, play, and collapse on the couch only when we're good and tired. I'm quiet and affectionate once I warm up to people. And as a little gal, I'm not going to take up much space, but I'd sure love to curl up on the couch with you and be your bestie. I'm one of the longterm residents at this point, and I'm feeling bummer about that. My Petfinder page has been viewed over 4,300 times -- out of all that, I can't believe the right family hasn't found me. I hope you are the one to come meet me and finally give me the best home.
