Hoosier Pit Bull Terrier Mix Springfield, MO

I am not from Indiana, even though my name is Hoosier. I'm the embodiment of that Hoosiers and Indiana spirit – resilient, full of heart, and ready to spread some love. My journey started at the Animal Control in Lebanon, where it was down to the wire. I was on that dreaded euthanasia list, with only about 5 minutes left, when someone saw my face. It must've looked pretty sad, and they couldn't bear to see me go. They tagged me and gave me a chance at a better life. Now I am in a loving foster home and doing really well. I am house broken and working on leash and crate skills. I've also got nighttime etiquette down pat. I'm a champ when it comes to sleeping in a kennel at night. However, if I'm in there while you're home, I'll let you know – loudly. I am a good balance of laid back and playful, plus I love to give kisses, am a big cuddler and will follow you wherever you go. I have good social skills with other dogs and kids, although in my excitement, I might knock over littles. I would do best in a home with a privacy fenced yard, because I can easily scale a 4 ft. one. I may have had a rough past because I can be a bit skittish. If you raise your hand or make any sudden movements, I might flinch. But my foster family is working patiently with me to show me that there are wonderful people out there who are ready to show me love. My adoption fee is $150 and includes my spay/neuter, vaccinations, wellness exam, heartworm test, and microchip!
