Meet Honney

Meet Honney! ♥

"Honney is as sweet as she sounds! This girl is a total lovebug and is sure to steal your heart. Honney has the most beautiful cream and gold markings. She is on the more petite side as well, making her even cuter. Honney loves attention and being with her people, but she also needs to gain some confidence. Currently, she is still very nervous when you walk up to her and sometimes still cowers. She is very submissive and will need someone who is patient and can help build up her confidence. She does great with everyone she meets and has good house manners. Honney has a great personality, and would fit well into any home that is on the quieter side!"

Honney is a 10-month-old female Great Pyrenees/Golden Retriever mix. She currently weighs about 61lbs. Honney is pretty nervous when meeting new people, but is friendly. She has not been to any public outings. Currently, we don't think she would enjoy them. It takes her a few days to feel comfortable in a new environment. So far, Honney has not shown to be a big chewer or barker in her foster home. Honney is not shown to have any food aggression or resource guarding issues in her foster home.

Honney is a mix of playful and calm. She is laid back in the house but loves running and playing with the other dogs outside. Honney does enjoy playing with toys, and is getting more accustomed to them each day! She has not shown any interest in playing fetch. We are unsure if she is a water dog or not, but does love the snow! Honney does ride well in the car once she is in, but is nervous to get in. Given her personality, we do not believe Honney would be a candidate for apartment living.

Some additional things to note about Honney are listed below:

-Honney is good with other dogs. She is submissive towards them.

-Honney is around cats right now and does great.

-Honney has not been around any kids. Given her timid nature, they should be older and calmer. Toddlers or rowdy children would terrify her.

-Honney is potty trained.

-Honney's foster does not kennel their dogs. She is given free roam when her fosters are gone and at night and does great.

-Honney is nervous on a leash still. She is pretty scared in new environments. As of right now, she probably would be scared out in public or out on walks. If she had another dog to lean on and a family that is willing to work with her she may eventually come around.

-Honney needs to build up confidence. She is very unsure and while she is making progress she will need continued working with. She will need a family with a soft voice that is ready to give her lots of reassurance and treats!

-Honney is being fostered in Kiowa, OK. We do not send our dogs on transport or ship them. Her new family needs to be able to pick her up.

Her adoption fee is $225. That includes DHLPP, Rabies, and Bordatella shots. He will be micro-chipped, heart-worm tested, have a fecal done, be de-wormed, be spayed/neutered, and will be current on heart-worm and flea/tick prevention.
