Honey's Story

Honey is a 7 year old Austalian Cattle Dog mix girl that weighs 36 pounds. She was adopted from us in 2020 and was recently brought in as a stray to McKamey Animal Center. Unfortunately, Honey had been passed around to another owner who did not want to take her back. She started off very timid upon coming back to the shelter, but has overcome this fear and has shown us how sweet she really is! We're open Wednesday - Sunday 12 - 5 p.m. The adoption fee is $135 which includes a free veterinary exam within 2 weeks of adoption at local participating vets, up to date vaccinations, heartworm test, heartworm preventative, dewormer, flea preventative, microchip, & spay or neuter. The adoption fee includes a free veterinary exam within 2 weeks of adoption at local participating vets, up to date vaccinations, FELV/FIV test (cats), heartworm test & preventative (dogs), flea preventative, dewormer, microchip, & spay or neuter. Our adoption fees are as follows: Kittens (up to 6 months): $100 Cats (> 6 months): $85 Puppies (up to 6 months): $160 Dogs (>6 months): $135 Adoption fees may change for purebred, pedigree, or specialty mix breeds. Will offer discounts for senior pets and those with special medical or behavioral needs.
