Meet Honey

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.
Harrisburg, PA Honey had a ruff start to life. She was left in a vacant home with two other dogs and a cat. She had no food or water. The only thing she had to her name was a dollar store ball. No food bowls or even a collar. She's come a long way in a year and is now a spoiled pup who loves belly rubs and snuggle time with her human. She has recently been diagnosed with Addison's Disease. She loves to sleep in bed and can't possibly get close enough. She's a young girl, we believe about two years old, 65 lbs. Honey has lots of energy. Her favorite thing to do is chase balls, her foster mom got her a tennis ball launcher, and she loves it. She walks nice on a leash and likes car rides. As long as she's with her person she is happy. Honey is full of life and energy, but she settles down nicely and will snuggle up while watching TV. She is not a fan of bath time, so her foster mom gives her sponge baths. She is very smart and learns new things very quickly. She listens very well and does know basic commands. Honey is fully housebroken, crate trained, spayed and up to date on vaccinations. She can have full run of the home; she is not destructive. She likes kids but would do best with older kids just because of her size and energy level. Because of the way her life started out she can be a nervous girl. New things scare her but she warms up quickly. She will need a compassionate human who is willing to take things slowly with her. She loves people and warms up quickly to them. She would prefer to be the only dog in the home and can be dog reactive. She is living with a dog savvy cat and does very well with that. Right now, Honey has a large fenced in yard and we would prefer she have this in her forever home since she loves time to explore and chase squirrels on her own.
