Meet Honey

Poor Honey was thrown out of a car at night during a thunderstorm. She had obviously had a litter of puppies, which we never saw. Honey had milk when she was dumped, so maybe someone just wanted her for a litter and then dumped her? Who knows? People can be so cruel. Honey was also emaciated and full of parasites.

Thankfully a Good Samaritan called Chain of Hope and we were able to get Honey. Honey had entropian, which is a condition common to Shar Peis where the eyelashes turn in toward the eye and rub on the eye. It's very painful and uncomfortable. Honey has been spayed and had the surgery done on her eyes. Her stitches come out 9-26-14 and we will post new pictures. In the meantime, Honey is a very happy little girl. She is young-about 7 months. The vet thinks she was bred her very first heat cycle. No more of that! Honey is very playful and would love to have another dog to play with.

If you're interested in Honey, please go to our website at www.chainofhopekc.org and go to our adoptable animals page to find the application. Her adoption fee is $150.
