Meet Homer
I'm all about the cozy life, especially during winter. You'll often find me napping in front of the fireplace or snuggled up on a heated blanket, rocking my favorite sweater. When the weather's good, catch me sunbathing in a fenced yard and chasing after those pesky squirrels – it's my way of staying playful.
I've got a soft spot for soft surfaces, and my aesthetic game is strong. Squeaky toys and bones are my entertainment buddies, and mealtimes? Well, they have me jumping for joy. Despite my size, I'm convinced I'm a tiny baby, struggling to climb onto the sofa and always yearning for someone's lap.
I'm a gentleman when it comes to introductions, enjoying the company of submissive female dogs. Cats and infants, though, terrify me – I'd do best in a home without them. Short walks are my jam, but I need someone strong enough to handle my enthusiasm for cars.
Oh, and speaking of homes, I'm both potty trained and crate trained, though my well-behaved nature makes crating unnecessary. I love to inspect everything that comes into the house, giving it a good sniff – you know, just making sure everything's in order.
Now, here's the thing – as much as I adore people, my exuberant affection might be a bit much for small children. So, a home without them would be ideal for me. If you're on the lookout for a loving companion with a penchant for warmth, short bursts of energy, and a bit of husky-inspired "talk," I might just be the perfect fit for your home.
Oh, and just a heads up, I've got some chicken and seasonal allergies, and I need a yard with a physical fence – none of those invisible ones for me!
I am a graduate of the Pups for Parole training program. I have all the basic training necessary to make a great companion. I will need a family willing to continue my training, I sure don't want to forget all that I've learned!
My adoption fee is $150 and includes my spay/neuter, vaccinations, wellness exam, heartworm test, and microchip! If you're interested in meeting/adopting me, please visit www.rescueonespringfield.com/our-adoption-process/adoption-application/ and fill out the form!
