Holly Vizsla & Boxer Mix Scranton, PA

Meet Holly! She is mom to the recently rescued (and already adopted) "H" pups. It's official...this girl is a hit! Holly is listed as a Shepherd mix but only a DNA test will tell her true breed mix. She is approximately 2-3 years of age and she weighs in at around 50 lbs. Holly is such a good natured, pleasant, sweet, sweet girl. Holly was a real super star for her shelter photo shoot and quickly earned high marks in all categories. To name a few: Great with all dogs- male and female. She does have a pretty rough play style so would definitely do best with dogs who can handle that type of play. We think that she would be a great match for older, sturdy kids. This mama dog has personality plus! She is excellent on a leash. Holly is a very skilled nuzzler and kisser. She is very soft in her ways, most of the time, and has plenty of love and affection for all. It was immediately apparent that she wanted to meet other dogs and was fast to earn off leash privileges of which she quickly took advantage. Holly loves giving and receiving attention and affection and is a dog that is very approachable and loves to be swarmed by other dogs and humans alike. Holly has a slightly submissive streak to her around other dogs so don't think she wishes to be the "Queen Bee". She simply wants to fit in, have fun and run and play. We are not sure how Holly is with cats so we have asked to have her cat tested. Regardless, caution would still need to be taken when introducing resident kitties. Holly is a true friend to all and what a joy it was to get to know her. Holly is already spayed and micro-chipped. She has recently been treated for heart-worm disease and is well on the way to recovery. Her suggested adoption donation is $325 in order to help with some of the rescue's ongoing vet bills. Holly will be available for adoption, or foster, on Sunday Sept. 25th and we are taking applications for her now.
