A bit about the FTA program:

Sea Paws Rescue’s Foster-to-Adopt (FTA) Program allows approved applicants to care for an animal in their home until a licensed Canadian veterinarian clears the animal's health. Fostering with the intent to adopt is a unique arrangement. Under this agreement, the animal will stay with you before the adoption is finalized, but it remains under the ownership of Sea Paws Rescue until all paperwork is completed and agreed upon. You are fostering with the commitment to adopt - this is not a trial period. During this time, the animal will be placed on hold and unavailable to other potential adopters. The adoption will remain pending until the vetting process is complete.

Background :

- Holly was rescued during Sea Paws Rescue’s outreach rescue mission in November 2024.
- She’s doing so well in her foster home, learning lots everyday, and she’s ready for her next adventure in her forever home.


Personality:

- Holly is a delightful mix of playful and cuddly.
- She’s curious, exploring her surroundings with enthusiasm but always ready to curl up for snuggles in the crook of your neck.
- Though timid at first, she warms up quickly, wagging her tail when meeting new dogs and people.
- Holly loves rubber chew toys and enjoys playing with her foster siblings, showing her friendly and social nature.


Ideal Home:

- Holly would thrive in a home with people ready to invest time and effort into training a puppy.
- She would do well with another dog to provide companionship and help build her confidence.
- Her future family should be patient as she continues to grow and learn, offering love, guidance, and plenty of playtime.


Training/Activity:

- Holly is making great progress with her training.
- She knows “come” and “sit,” is working on “down,” and responds well to redirection.
- Like most puppies, she has bursts of energy followed by long naps.
- She’s adaptable and benefits from structure as she continues learning crate and house training.
