Meet Holly

Meet Holly. Isn't she a cutie? Can you believe she was dumped in the middle of a field on a VERY stormy night - only to be found because of her bag of dog food lying on the side of the road while she hid in the shrubs in the storm? She was so scared. It took 3 days to get her to come out.

Fast forward and she has blossomed in her foster home. Holly LOVES her people! If you are looking for a shadow and velcro snuggler, she could definitely be your girl. She is also in a foster home with several other dogs of all sizes who she loves to play with - tug of war, chase, etc. Being a heeler, she likes to think she's in charge of them all. Sometimes they let her and sometimes they remind her she's not.

Holly is about 3-years-old and 45 lbs. She is house and kennel trained. She’s spayed, up to date on all vaccines, and she has finished her heartworm treatment. Now she's ready to really start the hunt for her family. Could you be it? The one that shows her it's forever? Get your app in today and bring Holly home.

If you are interested in meeting and/or adopting, the first step is to please visit our website to complete an application and read all of our FAQs:

**Please do not use the "Introduce Yourself" feature. The information needed to determine if you might be a match for one of our animals can only be found on our application. An inquiry, question, or introduction through Petfinder is NOT an application. All known details about our animals are posted on their profile and updated daily. Other info would be discussed in detail with the foster during the application review process. Due to the number of introductions/questions received (hundreds daily) we ask you submit an application on our website (that application can be used for any dog with Take Paws Rescue).

The adoption fee for adult dogs covers age appropriate vaccinations, microchip, spay/neuter if not yet performed, heartworm test & appropriate heartworm treatment by the rescue's vet. All dogs in our care are also kept up-to-date on HW/Flea Prevention. Please see our website for more information.

2022 Adoption Fee Scale for non-benefactor animals:
Puppies under 12 months - $350
Dogs over 12 months - $250

*Take Paws Rescue saves dogs from high-kill shelters in Southeast Louisiana, owner surrenders, and discarded dogs with uncertain futures. All of our animals live in foster homes where they are socialized, and well cared for. An application will be required to make sure it’s the perfect match!

For additional information, including the adoption process and our adoption fee scale for all our adoptable pets, see our FAQs page:

*Any breed labels used by Take Paws Rescue, its employees/volunteers, or on vet records provided cannot be guaranteed. Breed labels are given based on information obtained during intake and/or best guesses based on appearance and/or temperament of the dogs and Take Paws Rescue gives no assurance to the accuracy of these labels. Labels are necessary for postings to many animal networking sites, such as Pet Finder, and are no way a guarantee. Additionally, exact age and potential size cannot be guaranteed.
