Meet Hobo
Hello, my name is Hobo and here is my story.
I am a Dachshund mix and I’m an older gentleman of about 12 years. I weigh 11.5 pounds. I recently got turned in to a county shelter after I had been bouncing from home to home in a neighborhood for over a year. Someone moved away and left me behind. For months I travelled from house to house, couch-surfing here and there and everywhere until someone finally brought me to the shelter. The folks at the shelter knew that was no place for a sweet ol’ sugar-snout like me, so they asked SOHF to rescue me and find me a retirement home.
While I was out on the road, I picked up a case of heartworms. I’ve begun the process to get rid of them, but I need to be adopted to a home in the metro-Atlanta area so I can come to the SOHF Clinic in Lawrenceville for my three treatment appointments. I arrived with a mouth full of yucky teeth but I just got a good cleaning (and had a few pulled), so that’s all taken care of. I am a really good fella and I get along great with people and other dogs. I can’t wait to live out my golden years with a family who will love me forever. If that’s you, please apply to adopt me at www.SOHFGA.com.
Hopefully yours,
Hobo
Hobo is fully vetted -- neutered, microchipped, heartworm negative, and current on vaccinations and deworming. The adoption fee is $200 (cash only, please). You can apply to adopt by submitting an application at www.sohfga.com. We hold adoptions at Petco in Snellville from 12-2 PM on most Saturdays. You must have an *approved* adoption application on file in order to be considered for a particular pet. Not every foster is present on every adoption day, so if you want to meet this one, be sure to apply in advance.
