My Story
this cute pup is approx 1 1/2 year old and 19 lbs,we did a dna test on him and he is a mixture of breeds, chi/shetland sheepdog, toy fox terrier.. quite the heinz 57.. he is very sweet and energetic, loves to run and play in the yard and at the dog park with his buddies, play tug of war, tag, he is always in the lead, he has a great personality and can warm up almost any other dog, but will need a fenced in yard, he loves people and getting lots of treats and attention..just a really endearing pup, would be great to take running with you or on hikes and cuddle in-between and after. Food motivated, so easy to train. House trained 100%.
he did test positive for heartworms when we rescued him and has been treated with the required series of injections, we usually find that the dogs test negative 4-6 months after treatment, he has also been started on a monthly heart worm preventative
OUR RESCUE POLICY - It is our rescue policy for all our dogs that we require a home with no children under the age of 8, and experienced dog owners only.
WE REQUIRE TWO YEARS OF VETS RECORDS ON YOUR CURRENT OR PAST DOG FOR OUR REVIEW. RECORDS MUST SHOW THE POTENTIAL ADOPTER AS THE OWNER
The total adoption fee of between $550 (CT, NY, PA) and $675 depending on the quarantine laws of the adopter or foster's state (primarily Massachusetts) and includes the required interstate health certificate and transport , spay/neuter, shots including rabies, bordatella, parvo, distemper and canine influenza, and microchip. The total amount is payable to Shaggy Dog Rescue which is a 501c3. We also provide a coupon for a free wellness visit to the South Wilton Vet group if convenient for you.
