Meet Higgins! He is an active boy who needs an active family! Higgins LOVES playing! He would really, really love a doggy sibling (or two!) to play with. If he happens to be the only pup in his forever home, he would insist on socializing as much as possible! Higgins will require daily exercise and more than just a walk around the block. He will need a yard to run around in, a handler to take walks with, and an outgoing family who will bring him with them to dog-friendly places like a friend’s backyard BBQ or an outdoor event where he can meet lots of people. Higgins will need help with overcoming his shyness when it comes to being introduced to new men. He will bark and shy away, but is never physically aggressive. Being an untrained Collie and Aussie mix, Higgins will absolutely run and never look back if ever given the chance. When he sees an opportunity to bolt out the door, he will take it. He has taken off on his previous owner many times and runs as fast and as far as he can. To try to avoid as many incidents as possible (hopefully ALL incidents) we are requiring he have a home with a fenced-in backyard. That way, he can run around as much as he wants to get all of his energy out without the possibility of running away. Higgins is a silly and funny pup who isn’t afraid to use that voice box of his. Because he is one vocal little guy, we will not place him in any shared living spaces, such as an apartment or condo. If your family is as energetic as Higgins is, you might just be the perfect fit!
