He grew up fending for himself in the rural fields of Kentucky — searching for scraps, dodging many dangers living in the wild, and surviving without shelter. Thankfully, a group of kindhearted women who watch over abandoned dogs stepped in and saved him.<br/><br/>Now safe at LaMancha, Hershey is finally learning what it means to be loved. He’s discovering toys, playtime, soft beds, and gentle hands.
