Meet Hermione - adopted!
Hermione is a 25 lb Border Collie/Lab (?) mix born in February 2021. She loves her people more than anything, and also enjoys her canine housemates and chew toys. A world-class snuggler, she’s affectionate and playful with her foster family.
Hermione is great in her crate and has achieved champion status in potty training. She’s curious about the world, preferring to watch before jumping in. She is very intrigued by any kind of critter, so we really want a physically fenced yard to allow her to indulge her love of watching in a safe way.
She’s looking for a home where she will be with her people as much as possible, gazing deep into their eyes with adoration. She looks forward lol to enjoying a healthy lifestyle of activity, but also enjoying coffee on the deck in the morning or cozy evenings watching a movie. Hermione is a sensitive soul looking for a quieter adult home. She definitely wants a big canine brother or sister to show her the ropes and give her an extra sense of security.
We believe Hermione will be about 45-50 lbs as an adult dog. She wants to attend obedience classes with her family to show off her smarts and gain confidence. She’s learning when to use her voice in the house, and tends to alert bark when something unexpected happens. She is very responsive to guidance and redirection already, and will be the star pupil in an obedience class.
Hermione wants exposure to lots of new experiences in a safe and gentle fashion. She loves being held and wants to be a very good girl. She has an absolutely lovely personality and is very easy to live with.
Hermione is located in Minneapolis/St. Paul.
As a foster-based rescue, we do not have a central facility to visit. Meet and greets with specific dogs are arranged once your adoption application (not an inquiry email through Petfinder) has been received, processed, and approved. Our rescue is located in Minnesota and adopt to an area 400 miles from Minneapolis/St. Paul.
Hermione's adoption fee is $400+ MN sales tax. She is up to date on age-appropriate vaccines and microchipped. She will be spayed by the rescue at a vet of our choice in July 2021. Apply to adopt Hermione at hoabcr.org/how-to-adopt
