Hi! I’m Hercules, but my foster parents also like to call me Chance. I am about 3 years old and possibly a Pittie/Boxer mix.

I am a happy and handsome boy and who is looking for his forever home. I am good with people, but it takes a long time for me to get warmed up to new humans. I’m NOT aggressive at all, I will just hide from you. I am great with cats and would love to go to a home with a very confident dog to show me the ropes, bring me out of my shell, and show me that my new humans are okay to give love to.

I may be very shy at first, but once I've taken a few weeks to warm up I will be the most loving dog you’ve ever met. I would prefer to go to a quiet house with no children. I like kids and have been nice to the ones I have met, however, I get really really scared of loud noises and get overwhelmed very easily. I am fully potty trained, can sit, and am working on other tricks like shake and lay down.

After a less than perfect life, I am finally learning that people want to give me love and that I should let it in and love them too. My foster parents are working really hard on getting me to come out of my shell, and get rid of some of my fear toward noises and humans, but it may take a long time. so, I need to go to pawrents that understand what I have gone through and are prepared to be overly patient when accepting me into their lives. I might not warm up right away, but with enough treats I’ll eventually warm up and shower you with love, and I can guarantee you will fall in love with me.
