Hi! My name is Hercules! I’m estimated to be a 75lb Great Pyrenees mix. I am very timid when I first meet you, but I warm up very quickly and am a really sweet gentle giant. I love finding a good spot to lay on my dog bed, the couch, my foster mom’s bed, or a cold place on the floor. I’m really quiet around the house. I enjoy belly rubs and I love running and playing in the backyard with my resident dog brother. I take treats very nicely and am working on a few basic commands. I learn quickly!

I sleep well through the night on my dog bed. I haven’t had any accidents in the house. In fact, I was left alone in the house while my mom ran some errands and I had no accidents and didn’t chew anything. I just slept while I waited for her to come home.

I enjoy chewing bones and I like playing ball outside. I will fetch the ball and bring it back around you or I will pick it up and throw it around myself and chase it.

I’m very strong and I need work on leash training. I’m not trying to run away, I just get very excited to sniff everything and might pull you along with me.

I’m very good in the car especially if you’re taking me to Diary Queen for a pup cup. Will you be my forever home?

If you would like to be considered as a potential adopter for one of our great dogs, please go to our website- www.luckymuttsrescue.org and submit an application. Our application process includes landlord approval and vet checks. Please make sure all of your information is current and accurate, including a valid email address and phone numbers. Inaccuracies and/or incomplete data will delay and/or cancel your application. We strive to process all applications in a timely manner, but with the high volume of applications we are receiving, it is taking anywhere from 1-3 weeks. You may be contacted via email if there are concerns or questions. Once all of your information is reviewed and if your application is approved, you will be notified via email. Submitting an application and receiving an approval does not guarantee you will be adopting the dog you applied for. Once you move to the meet and greet process, you will be contacted by the foster family to further discuss the dog, and answer questions you may have, and if applicable, a meet and greet will be set up at our adoption center. Meet and greets are only set up with approved applicants, and we require all members in the household to be present, as well as any current dogs in the home.

Current Adoption Fees Are:
$400+tax for puppies to 3 years old
$350+tax for ages 4-7
$250+tax for ages 8 and up
Bonded pairs vary

The adoption fee covers spay/neuter, up to date age appropriate vaccinations, microchip, general deworming, heartworm test, (if over 6 months) and a certified veterinary inspection. Please be aware, listed dog breeds are based on information provided and cannot be guaranteed. Submitting an application for a particular dog does not guarantee that you will be the applicant chosen, we receive several applications for each dog. Our adopters are picked based on the needs of the dog, and the home we feel with best fit based on your responses to our application, vet information and landlord requirements. Approved applicants not chosen for the dog you applied for, will be in active status for a period of six months. We encourage you to watch Petfinder, Facebook and our website for upcoming dogs.
