Henry, a black and white border collie mix, is one handsome fellow with a kind and loving temperament. He is a year and a half old, and eager to find a home where he can grow into a fine gentleman. This boy is good with cats and other dogs, so he will be comfortable in a home with other pets. His energy level would be too much for very young children, but kids junior high age and older will have a great time with Henry. He is very playful and really wants to please.
This breed is known for being very intelligent, athletic, and eager to learn complex tasks. They also have a high prey drive and need regular exercise to be happy and healthy. Henry would need a large fenced yard where he can run and play on a daily basis. With some training as he grows, Henry will make a very loyal companion and wonderful addition to a loving family.
The adoption fee is $50 plus an additional $60 for alteration, making the total only $110 to bring this animal to a new, forever home. The Lawrence Humane Society accepts cash, check, and credit card payments.
If you are interested in providing a new home for this lovable animal, please download and complete our pre-adoption application. Once approved, this document will ensure you are eligible (for six months) to adopt from our shelter.
When the application has been completed and signed, please email, call 785-843-6835, or visit the shelter during business hours. When you contact us, be sure to note the animal's name and ID number, found above the photo on this page.
