My name is Henna! I love romping, walking, snuggling and rolling in the grass. And I sure would love a four legged boyfriend and female peoples to do all those fun activities with.

I have gorgeous green eyes that compliment my chocolate coat and lots of love to give!

I would rather not be around men. I have had a difficult early life with them, but when meeting them out for a walk or something, I’m willing to give them a chance. I really do want to love all whom I meet, though.

I need a calm environment, an owner to follow around, and would love to sleep next to my person in a soft, warm bed at night…ok, my own doggy bed will do too.

I get along with cats, stuffed animals, training treats…did I mention a doggy boyfriend?



Please note, Henna is approximately 5 years of age. She was returned back to use twice when we first rescued her just over four years ago (she was found standing curbside in 110 degree heat, filled with ticks and despondent, struggling with exhaustion and dehydration). Henna is capable of exhibiting total fear of men without much warning. She will bark and shake, but has never been aggressive towards people. Henna had been living in a loving home for many years but the household became too much. It was apparent that the household was too active, too many dogs and people passing through. The constant activity was too much for her and Henna started to break down. We now know that Henna is fragile and needs a quiet and stable environment. She does love other dogs, mostly males, and is fine with cats. She is wonderful on walks and will totally bond with her person. She just needs a quiet, peaceful environment.
