Henley Labrador Retriever & German Shepherd Dog Mix Brewster , NY

SWM~ Single white male seeking love and companionship, long walks,snuggles, loyal friendship and dedication. Approximately 1 year old, 47 lbs. with amazing manners. House trained and respectful of space. Happy, calm and confident personality. Another fur companion in the house would be a bonus.....someone else to play with. Working on leash manners everyday. Gets along extremely well with other dogs. Our educated guess of breed would be Jindo; notorious for being loyal, brave and intelligent. Gentle, loving breed. Extremely protective of their families. Must be very well socialized and have long walks. Neutered and up to date on shots. They’re known for hunting so I would not suggest a home with cats.

Henley was saved by SNARR Northeast in the end of September. He survived severe trauma to his face and was most likely hit by a car. He was transported to our surgeon for delicate and intense facial and neck reconstruction. Henley does not show any trauma or side effects....EXCEPT a permanent smile on the left side of his mouth and a few scars. His lip on that side is different but this makes him even more special. He is very much healed. His foster family says he is a blessing to have.

All of out puppies and dogs come up to date on vaccinations, microchipped, spayed/neutered and dewormed.

If you are interested in adopting any of our dogs, the adoption fee is $495 (puppies) $375 (adults) which includes transportation from the South to NYC and we do suggest putting a 1st, 2nd and 3rd choice on your application if applying for a puppy with several litter mates.

**Please understand that we are a volunteer based organization. While our volunteers try to answer all emails/questions as quickly as possible, below please find answers to some of our most frequently asked questions. -If a dog or puppy is listed on Petfinder, they are still available. Please do not email asking if they are still available. If a dog or puppy is still listed, then we are accepting applications:-) We do not go on a first come first serve basis, but on best fit for a family and most importantly the puppy or dog.

-We are taking our best guess on breed and size when fully grown(or already an adult), based on the puppy's/dog's physical appearance and what we might have learned about one or both parents depending on the situation. We rarely are able to tell the true or full breed mix of dogs as our information is limited most of the time.

-The way to start the process for any dog or puppy is by filling out an application, Applications for foster or adoption can be found at www.snarrnortheast.org and by clicking either adopt or foster from the main menu. If you fill out an application, please make sure you answer all the questions in as much detail as possible and that you receive a confirmation email, otherwise we did NOT receive it.
