Hendry is a gorgeous, sensitive, friendly velvet pup who is making strides and gaining confidence. The big wide world can be a bit of a scary place and Hendry has some volunteer friends who are helping him to learn that he is safe and can trust his people. Heres what some of them had to say: Hendry is very sweet and leashes up well. He is nervous outside of his kennel but is making progress. He walks around the lake and he likes to be pet and reassured on walks. He loves treats and takes them gently. In the kennel he is much more confident. Now he knows his peeps and comes up front when I arrive to take him out. I really like this boy! Hendry has the sweetest face! He did a nice sit and was calm before we left the kennel. Today I just took him to a play yard- he did some zoomy laps, came when I called him, and executed a perfect sit without being asked. He loved being petted and he took treats very gently from my hand. Another dog I have wanted to walk and finally got the chance to is Hendry. He's a pup who doesn't do much in his kennel to get noticed. He was a little bit anxious on our walk but was seeking comfort from me, leaning up against me, and accepting my pets. We returned to his kennel and he sat and took his treat very nicely. Hendry just needs some patience and more time out of his kennel. Very sweet boy. Hendry is a very sweet pup! He was calm and sat nicely while I leashed him up. On our walk he led the way with his nose to the ground, sniffing and exploring. He was very curious and interested in all of the smells. Return to kennel was easy. I sat inside with him for a few minutes and he leaned up against me, relishing in pets. Very sweet boy! I met Hendry for the first time today. I took him to a yard where he enjoyed exploring. He was pretty independent but came over occasionally for treats and pets. He poses very nicely for pictures and has the cutest smile. Hendry needs to meet any resident pups before heading home to ensure a good fit and may prefer a home without young kiddos who dont yet know how to properly interact with a pet. Hendrys ideal home would be one with a family committed to helping him build confidence and trust through predictable routines, a calm environment, and the most important factor- lots of love!
