13# Spayed female
Age 1 yr
Adoption fee: $550
Heartworm negative on prevention vaccinated, microchipped, house trained
Heidi is the sweetest little girl, she's a little shy initially but warms up quickly. When she feels safe she is a love bug. She's always smiling!
She has good house manners, she uses a doggie door at her foster home and she loves to go outside.
This happy little girl is excited to go out every morning, who loves to snuggle, go for walks or just be with you. She gets along well with her canine foster family and once she feels safe is friendly and loving to everyone she meets. Because she is shy, she waits to be invited to sit with you or come in from outside. We suspect she was not allowed indoors but she clearly loves to be inside and loves her soft bed now. She needs needs a calm environment. Her adopter/s need to be comfortable with giving her a little time to develop trust and feel safe.
She recently spent an hour outside with two boys, 6 & 9 yo very active and energetic boys. Initially she stayed very close to her foster mom but took treats and watched the boys run & play after a little time passed. After she got comfortable she explored the yard. A month ago she would have been under her foster moms chair the entire time. Her progress has been quick & it's easy to see she is becoming more confident everyday. With time she will continue to become more confident and over time her personality will blossom & she will be outgoing when she feels safe and loved.

** Please note: Due to their size, our dogs are not suitable for homes with children under 5.
The only way to find out if one of our pups will be a good fit in your home is to fill out the online application on the Lil Paws website. Lil Paws is a very small organization, our volunteer time is reserved for interested persons who have filled out the application to adopt.
We do not have a facility, all dogs are fostered in the homes of our volunteers. If you are interested in adopting a dog from Lil' Paws Maltese Rescue and other Petite Paws, please visit our website at www.lilpaws.org and fill out an adoption application. This is the first step in our adoption process. Our goal is to place our dogs in safe, stable and loving homes in the Austin Metropolitan area. Thanks for looking!
Lil' Paws Maltese Rescue and other Petite Paws depends on donations to keep the dogs in our program healthy. Many health issues are taken care of before a dog leaves a rescue: spaying, neutering, immunizations, dental care, and in some cases major surgery. Because of the cost of this care, donations are essential to enable us to continue our work. If you would like to show appreciation for what we do and help us continue to do it please go to our website homepage and click the donate button. We thank you in advance for your support.
