Meet Heidi

Update: Heidi was adopted, but was returned to VSGSR because the adopting family moved to an apartment where they couldn't keep dogs.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Heidi could be a pure bred schnauzer. She looks very much like the pups we had in the end of 2011. She is very slender weighing about 40 pounds. She is all natural and black. She was found wandering as a stray and badly cut. She went immediately to a vet hospital where she was sutured to start the healing process. She is now completely healed and a sweetheart. We are guessing she is 1-2 years old. She could be a standard schnauzer or small giant. We have had giants only slightly larger than Heidi. What ever she is, she is very adorable and a happy girl.

More info on Heidi......Heidi is a two year old spayed female black schnauzer/lab mix. She came into County with severe wounds to her neck and rump. All the while a wiggly, happy girl who's aim in life seems to be giving kisses in betwee n sniffing the ground and following her nose!! Her stitches will be out and probably itching so she's been wearing her ecollar nearly full time. Her wounds still need some healing time and once her hair grows back she's a fluffy doll. She doesn't seem to have had much discipline, but seems eager to please (always a good sign). Small training sessions will go a long way. She's approximately 35 lbs so medium size girl. A little social skill training, some home manners and a little more healing time will get her very ready for her forever home.

Heidi has healed completely and is ready to go!

Heidi's adoption fee is $250 each and she has been spayed, had full panel blood tests done, been microchipped and up to date on all of her shots. We do prefer that you be within driving distance of Phoenix to adopt one of our dogs. If the adoption doesn't work out for some reason with in the first thirty days, the adoption fee is refunded upon return of the dog. Our contract states that during the life of the dog, should something happen that you can not keep any of our dogs, the dog must be returned to VSGSR. Should a family member wish to adopt the dog, they would be given first priority. We are responsible for our dogs for their entire life. If interested, please email us at phxgsrescue@hotmail.com for more information. Emailing is the best way to contact us as we are all volunteers.
