Meet Hazel JuM
I wanna do a shout out to bats. Yeah, bats. They get a bad rap for being spooky Halloween guys, but they are very nice guys that are out pollinating plants and gobbling up insects while you are sleeping. We owe them all a thank you.
Why am I talkin’ about bats? Because the volunteer said I look like Dracula with my widow’s peak hairline and that reminded me of bats, plus it provides a segway to my next topic. Mosquitos. Teeny monsters with wings.
Mosquitos should be the creepy sign of Halloween and vampires because they litterally suck blood and spread disease. Fur instance, a mosquito gave me heartworm disease. Plus their cousin the mange mite hitched a ride on me too and made some of my hair fall out. Those are the real bad guys of the world, not bats.
At the rescue, they are treating my bald spots and mange, plus they are gonna kill my heartworms too. I guess they are kinda like Buffy the Vampire Slayer if you really think about it. Slaying bad bugs left and right. Buffy the Bug Slayers, really.
I rank 15 on a scale of 1 to 10 on Cuddle Factor. I love having my belly scritched. When I was at the city pound, I would reach out my paw and try to touch everyone who walked by. My mangey look gave most folks the creepy crawls and they wouldn’t stop. Thankfully, God’s Dogs Rescue stopped and saw that with a little tune up, I would be good as new and very loveable.
I cooperate well on a leash and I am crate trained too. I am a small compact gal at just about 35 pounds and 3 years old. I am great with other dogs, but I do take on a leadshership role, so you will have to have other dogs that don’t mind that. I LOVE all people. My most likely breed is pocket sized Pitbull, but I self-identify as Bat Girl, because I pollinate the world with my love.
