Adopt/foster Hazel
This sweet girl is Hazel (aka Hazelnut, fka Sarah). She came to us skinny and scared from Riverside. I don’t think she’d ever had a toy or butt scratches or even a comfy bed. She was euth listed, sick and terrified. Lucky for her those days are over!
Though Hazel was completely shut down when we got her, she is warming up and figuring out her surroundings. She is still scared but very gentle (never growls/shows teeth or even barks). She loves toys, hotdogs and most of all, being outside with her foster brother. As expected she was slow to trust, but with patience and gentle handling she is really starting to come out of her shell! I am so happy to see her gaining confidence, zooming around the yard, and playing with her toys.
She has loved playing with the dogs she has met and I think she would benefit greatly from having another dog around.
Hazel is crate trained and we are working on her potty training.
Her perfect home would be a patient, loving and quiet, preferably with another playful dog. She is spayed chipped and vaccinated If there is a human out there that could give her a beautiful home where she could decompress more and more every day. Give her the life where she could trust and become her own little self. We would love to meet you! Rescue dogs are rewarding. They come out on their own time.
