Meet Hazel, she is a large 7-year-old Husky mix but her husky personality shines through!
Hazel is a talkative girl who will greet you with a soft awoooo and a happy wiggle. She's quite curious of the world and loves exploring and going on all kinds of adventures. She is a very affectionate girl and will happily snuggle up to you for some love. She LOVES her people and is very good with younger kids, she has such a gentle soul. She is not a jumper, but she will rub her body into you for the love. Her favourite hobbies include sunbathing, hanging out with her favourite people, lying in the snow, sleeping, and killing every rubbery squeaky toy she can find.
Hazel does well on leash walks. She can get very excitable when walking past dogs as she loves to say hi to everybody. Hazel grew up with a giant breed dog and a very small dog in the same house. Her and the other giant dog had some issues with sharing toys and food, therefore she does not do well with having toys and food around other dogs, and shows some aggression. But people can take toys, bones and food out of her mouth and she does not react nor care. Hazel likes to swim, however if you throw a ball or a stick you will lose it, as she likes to swim around leisurely on her own, and she knows how to play with herself and her toys. You can often find her throwing her toys and ball up in the air and pushing it around playing with it and tucking them into bed when it's bed time.
Hazel travels very well in vehicles, she likes to lay down and sleep most of the way, with off times sticking her head out of the window getting a sniff at what's outside! She also loves doggy day care and does great in every one she's been in and gotten positive feedback.
She has never been tested with cats.
She would be best suited in a single dog home so she can be free to enjoy her toys, and with somebody who will take her on some adventures, and give her unlimited belly rubs and snuggles!
