Hazel White German Shepherd Mix Spring, TX

Hazel was dumped at a gas station in Cleveland, TX. She was left in a cardboard box with a blanket and some food. She was used for breeding and discarded once she was no longer needed. Hazel was there for days, ignored by everyone who passed her. She was invisible. When we arrived to save her she was happy that someone finally saw her, but she was resistant to leave. I believe she was hopeful that whoever dumped her would return for her.

Hazel is a wonderful girl who needs a family of her own to get over her heartbreak. She is doing good but she cries and whimpers often. She will need someone understanding of her past and patient to help her work through what being abandoned has done to her soul. She is very affectionate and once she comes out of her she'll, I have a string feeling she will be playful.

We are a small independent rescue. We can not complete with the adoption fees of shelters because we are not sponsored by the city or county, and we do not have any vets on staff. Each cat we take in costs us a minimum of $150 just for their basic vetting to get them adoption ready. However, being that we are a foster based rescue, that means we know these cats very well and are really good at determining which cat would be a good for for you and your family.
