They say one can only be an expert at a single thing but I am an expert at a couple things. I am an expert at going for walks and runs on a leash with my human. And I am an expert at being terrified of everything! But I'm learning that everything will be ok. In time, I have learned my doggo roommates can be pretty neat. I learned that my foster parents are pretty OK too and are there to talk to me, feed me, help me learn new routines. Now the only place I want to be is no more than six feet away from my foster mom, but also no less than six feet away from my foster mom! She's my favorite human. I am a quintessential conundrum.
I'm kind of like a helicopter dog, I guess. I drag my leash around the house, because even though I love LOVE going for nice long walks with my foster humans, I'm not comfortable to let them close enough to put a leash on me just yet. But will let them pick up my leash and lead me on to our next adventure! I love adventures.
My foster family gives me relaxation medications, one from the vet and a couple herbal ones. I have become a great roommate, I won't get in your personal space and don't need you in mine. We can just hang out together and watch a show or enjoy a nice fire in the fireplace. And I am a great exercise buddy. Want to walk or run anywhere for miles? I'm your guy! But want to curl up together in bed during these long Minnesota winter nights? I just can't be your guy, I'm Mr Independent and like my space. But I will listen patiently to all your stories, happily taste anything you're cooking, and sound the alarm when anything seems out of the ordinary -- all from six feet away.
Adoption Fee: $325

**Note on breed and age determination:
Breed and age are often determined on appearance, our own knowledge, veterinarian advice, and/or information from the sending shelters or previous owners. Most of our adoptable dogs were previously stray dogs with little history, we can't be 100% sure of a dog's breed mix, and unless there is a specific date of birth listed, we can't be 100% sure of a dog's age. Additionally, our assessments of a dog's interactions with other dogs, cats, or children are based on OUR experiences. Your experience may differ.
ADOPTION FEE INCLUDES:
Wellness check
Spay/neuter (puppies adopted with required spay/neuter certificate)
Age appropriate vaccines - rabies as required by law and distemper combo or proof of positive titer test
Heartworm test if over 7 months of age
Fecal test and/or deworming for parasites
Microchip
~ Healing Hearts rescue will also provide dental procedures, bloodwork, surgeries, and/or any other additional vet work as needed while dogs are in our care.
~ Adoption fees are non-negotiable and fees are listed on the dog's profile
~ Adoption fees can be paid the following ways with the required sales tax (7.525%) added:
