Due to COVID-19, our Sanctuary is temporarily quarantined, with a small number of staff running our daily operations. For this reason, we are currently closed for adoptions and tours. However, we will respond to all emails and phone calls as quickly as we can.

Hattie came to us from Oakland Animal Services where she was dropped off as a stray. She was a favorite of one of the volunteers who reached out to Azaya to give her a chance. Hattie is a happy wiggly girl who loves people. She is athletic, energetic and incredibly smart. We aren't sure of her breed mix, but she has the playfulness and determination of a terrier. This girl needs things to do and she loves her toys! She is a champion ball retriever and makes a great fetch partner. Hattie weighs 14 pounds and is the perfect companion for someone looking for a big dog in a little package. She enjoys playing with dogs her size, but she definitely makes the rules. We are working on her basic commands and potty training.

All of our animals are up to date on their vaccinations, spayed/neutered, microchipped, and have had a physical exam. At adoption we provide: veterinary records and vaccine certificates, castration certificate, lifetime lost animal support, one month’s worth of flea medication and heartworm medication, one week’s worth of food, a leash, a collar, an ID tag, and a familiar toy or blanket to help them settle in. We also provide lifetime basic positive training support.
