This is Harvey! He's a young male adult, on the large side. We think he might be an Akita mix. He is handsome and playful! Harvey can be fearful of new situations and can be unpredictable in his reactions, so he would do best with an experienced owner. We think that as he is exposed to more situations, he'll settle in nicely, but his new family will need to be watchful and patient. New situations have caused him to nip, he is especially touchy with his neck area. We are not recommending him for a home with young children. Harvey can be very loving and is pretty good about entertaining himself in his kennel with some toys! He hasn't quite grasped the concept of "fetch" but he does love to chase a ball! He really seems to want to play with some of our other dogs, too! Harvey has been neutered, and is ready for a fresh start in a new home! Born Again Pit Bull Rescue (BAPBR) regularly works with the wonderful volunteers at the Del Norte County Animal Control Shelter located out in rural Crescent City, CA (a small coastal town on the OR/CA border). They have a very small shelter with small indoor 3x6 kennel runs, low foot traffic, odd adoption viewing hours and it rains a lot which means the dogs can't always come outside to play--so we want YOU to see some of their really great dogs that they have up for adoption. It's only a short 5-hour drive from Portland to adopt your new family member!

Del Norte County Animal Control is located in Crescent City, CA. They are open Monday thru Friday from 8am to 5pm. They are closed Saturday and Sunday.
