Harvey's Story

Meet Harvey: The Legend on Bird Legs
Harvey may be tiny, but his story is mighty. This 6 month old Chihuahua mix was found at a construction site with both front legs broken. A kind stranger rushed him to the shelter, who immediately contacted UAAF so he could get the surgery and medical care he desperately needed. Now healed up and full of spirit, Harvey is ready for his forever home. Harvey is equal parts sweetheart and pint sized chaos gremlin. If he had a theme song, it would be “Trouble” by Elvis.

Why You’ll Love Him:
Teething Tornado: Harvey is in his “alligator phase,” exploring everything with his mouth. Tough chew toys are a must.

Potty Training Pro in Progress: He’s doing great with potty pads and just needs consistency to keep improving.

Friendly with Flair: He loves people and enjoys other dogs after a short warm up. He’s indifferent to cats—though your cat may not feel the same about his high energy enthusiasm.

The Perfect Match:
Because Harvey is small and delicate, he needs a home without young children. He’d thrive with an energetic dog buddy who can handle his playful, sometimes wild puppy antics. With guidance, patience, and plenty to chew on, Harvey is well on his way to becoming the very best boy.

Ready for a little mischief in your life? Harvey is waiting.

Harvey has been neutered, is current on vaccines, has tested negative for heartworm and is microchipped.

If you are interested in adopting Harvey, please complete an adoption application on our website (uaaf.org/adopt).
