Meet Harry

Meet Harry! Harry is a 4-year-old medium energy pup. Weighing in at 66 pounds of pure sweetness, this sweet yellow lab is looking for his forever home in a quiet neighborhood. Like many rescue dogs, Harry can be timid and will open up more and more as he gets to know and trust his new family. Harry’s favorite things include snuggles with his humans, naps in the sun, playing with toys, and playing with other dogs off leash in places like doggie daycare and dog parks.

Harry is a smart boy who loves training! This will make brushing up on commands and learning new ones a breeze. He does great in a crate (especially with a kong!) and needs to be crated when unsupervised until he adapts to his new family and home. He thoroughly enjoys toys of all kinds – such as kongs, stuffed and rope toys, and especially puzzle toys! Harry loves walks and pulls a bit on the leash. Since he enjoys meeting new people, he gets excited and will need to work on keeping all four paws on the ground. His eyes and nose sometimes draw him to food on the counter, but as a smart, trainable boy, he will be able to work with his new family to kick those habits! A true dog’s dog, Harry does not enjoy cats but loves playing with other dogs off leash. He hasn’t spent time with children, so will need to go to a home without kids.

Anyone who meets Harry quickly sees how affectionate and sweet he is. He absolutely loves to spend time with his people, cuddling, giving kisses, and just being nearby. If you are looking for a loving, smart boy, Harry is the one for you!

Disclaimer: Please know this is a recently rescued dog that is still transitioning into a new home environment. Training, and even personality and energy levels are constantly evolving as the dog starts to feel better emotionally and physically. Your new dog will take days or even weeks to fully settle into his or her true self. What you read in this bio is a snapshot of this dog’s evolving personality. Additionally, the age listed is an estimate provided by the shelter and/or veterinarian. Different vets can provide different age estimates. So always consider the lab you are adopting to be within an age range of a couple of years of what is listed. Also remember, while we are a lab rescue, we do not have papers on these dogs, we cannot confirm any breed specific claims, and many of these dogs may be mixed with other breeds.
