Meet Harry
Harry arrived at NCCR on 8/4/20, after being found stray and going unclaimed. He is a recently neutered adult male, thought to be a Chihuahua/Terrier mix. Harry weighs just over 8 pounds and is full grown.Harry will make a perfect lap ornament & companion for a patient loving person. Poor Harry has been through a lot, left with his brother to roam streets & then his brother was adopted, Harry is very fearful. It took him weeks to trust his foster mom, now he follows her all over, looks for her lap, and burrows under the covers with her to sleep at night. Harry will nip from fear but lightly, hide & shake. Unfortunately this turns people off who meet him. Are you the person that can work with Harry? If you have the love & patience you will have one of the greatest loves of your life!
Harry is currently in foster care. There are several other dogs and a cat in the home and he does fine with them. He does get playful with the other dogs, but it's short lived, he'd much rather be in your lap! Harry is housetrained, loves to go for walks, loves his food and everyone else's too!
When Harry arrived, he had a cough. It was then discovered that he had a heart murmur. Medication was prescribed and before long his cough disappeared. He has been off of meds for about a month now. If you would like more information, don't hesitate to ask.
