Harry is a wonderful dog and would do great with the right people, dogs, and home. He is 6 to 7 years old but has a lot of spunk. He weighs about 30 lbs. He loves walks and just being outside and sniffing around. He’s a big cuddle bug, kisser, and will roll on your bedding and face when you’re laying down. After he rolls around, he will lay on your pillow or chest and take a little nap. You can also find him rolling around on the floor randomly. He seems to really like anything fluffy such as pillows, blankets, and beds. He also likes dark places to explore such as under the bed. He strangely loves to be brushed on the face and have his hair cut. It seems like his previous owners abused him and or that he spent a lot of time alone outside because he’s scared of loud noises, the rain, thunder, anything that might surprise him, and has possession aggression over certain toys and foods. He would do best as a single dog only because he does not like other dogs to play with his toys or food. If you can separate he does enjoy dogs his size or smaller. He responds very well to a gentler and understanding approach. He does really well with people who are quieter, calmer, crouch down to his level, and speak to him in that happy “dog voice.” Harry seems like he would do better in a home with an experienced pet owner who understands dogs who’ve been through a rough past, and either as a single dog or with other dogs who are small, calm, and don’t play much. We are thinking no children because of his resource guarding with food and toys.
