Meet Harriet
This little firecracker is Harriet, a 7 year old female Jack Russell terrier
mix. She has a white smooth coat with brown markings and a cute stubby
tail. Harriet is a small dog weighing 13 pounds. She was pulled from our
local animal shelter where she had been picked up as a stray by Animal
Control and no one came to claim this cutie.
Don't let her age fool ya -she is loaded with personality and spunk! She may even be younger and just have so-so teeth. Harriet loves to be with you and get attention. She can be a talker to get your attention too! She does have energy so if in an
apartment, she will need several walks a day.
Harriet will require a fenced in yard so she can safely run and play. BUT she is not to be an outside dog only. She seems to get along well with other dogs and should be fine with children 8 and older.
We have started on her crate training. Harriet is up to date on her vet care, will be spayed prior to adoption, heartworm negative and is microchipped. She is on heartworm and flea/tick prevention. Just adorable!!
All HSWA dogs are either at our Dog Adoption Facility or in foster homes. All dogs require an appointment to meet. Please call us at 205-554-0011 or email humaneswa@yahoo.com to request an appointment to see the dog/puppy and to check availability.
