This precious girl is Harper!

Harper is an approximately 4-year old Shih Tzu that weighs 10 lbs. Her sole purpose in life was to breed cute offspring puppies to be sold for a profit. Once she no longer produced large litters the breeder no longer wanted her. As a recent breeder release, she’s never lived inside a home until now.

She is playful and likes to play with toys & other dogs. She gets along great with all the small dogs she has met. She likes to snuggle with her canine friends. She’s learning to appreciate subtle things like sitting next to a human on the couch.

She gets really excited for treats but still won’t take them from your hand.
She is shy when she meets new people & needs time to warm up. She needs another dog in the home as a dog can teach her things that us humans just can’t. She’s never been around kids.

A secure fenced yard is required. It’s also something she’s never had before joining the rescue.

Harper is crate-trained but you must understand she’s lived her entire life in confinement. She’s working on her leash & house training. In her foster home she currently sleeps behind a doggy gate in the hallway in a dog bed snuggling with another dog.

She needs kindness, love & patience as she adjusts in her new home and life.

Harper is spayed, up to date on vaccinations, HW negative, current on HW preventative and micro chipped. Her adoption fee is $200.
