Meet Harold

It's Harold! Everyone meet Harold, a 2-year-old Australian Shepherd mix who is currently waiting for his forever family. Harold is so sweet he would make the perfect family dog. Harold is nervous initially but with the proper time and patience his personality shines through. Harold walks well on a leash with a few words of encouragement. Harold will always graciously accept a treat from one from his friends. Harold enjoys meeting canine friends on walks, however, would prefer to be the only dog in his forever home. Though, Harold wouldn’t mind living with a kitty friend. Harold loves to spend his days running around in his fenced-in backyard. He hasn't chosen his favorite toys yet but he is still exploring all the amazing options to choose from! Harold cannot wait to meet his forever family, apply to adopt Harold today!

Harold is neutered, up-to-date on age-appropriate vaccinations, and microchipped.

Given the conditions Harold originated from, upon rescue, he tested positive for Heartworm disease. Thanks to Home for Good Dog Rescue, Harold has completed his Heartworm treatment.

*Heartworm disease is a serious and if left untreated, fatal disease. It is caused by foot-long worms (heartworms) that live in the heart, lungs, and associated blood vessels of affected animals, causing severe lung disease, heart failure, and damage to other organs in the body. Mosquitoes are carriers of heartworms and have the ability to infect dogs all year round, especially in the Southeastern portion of the United States and during the summer months.*

**Please note: completing an "adoption inquiry" via Adopt-a-pet/Petfinder does not constitute an HFG Dog Rescue adoption application. All adoption applications must be completed on www.hfgdr.org**

HFG Dog Rescue is a 100 percent foster-based rescue located in Berkeley Heights, NJ with a sister location, The Almost Home Wellness Center, in Aiken, SC. Our fosters begin basic training, housebreaking, and leash-walking skills to help pair you with the perfect pup for life!
