Meet Harold
This handsome gentleman is Harold! He is a 1 year old Australian Cattle Dog/Blue Heeler who weighs 43 pounds.
Harold is friendly, happy, and smart. Cattle Dogs are a wonderful, unique breed - they are very intelligent and they aim to please. They also need lots of exercise and mental stimulation to help them thrive. Because of this, we're requesting someone who has experience with the breed. He also needs to have some room to run - no apartments, please.
Harold loves going on walks and is learning to walk well on a leash. His biggest distraction seems to be tires on cars and bikes. When he sees one, he tries to go towards it. Because this includes tires on moving vehicles, Harold’s owner will need to work on redirecting his attention and correcting this behavior so he doesn’t accidentally get hurt. He’s only a year old though, so this shouldn’t be too difficult of a task. Harold will require a fenced in yard to keep him safe.
His minimum adoption fee is $295 plus a $12 fee, if 4 months or older, for rabies registration for McLean County residents.
He has been neutered, microchipped, vaccinated, heartworm checked, dewormed, and is on flea and heartworm preventatives.
