Harley is estimated to be around a year and a half old. She is maybe a Cane Corso/Pitbull mix. She was found with Riggs, completely emaciated, after being dumped from someone's vehicle in a park. A good samaritan saw this happen, and helped to get both dogs to safety. When Harley was found, she weighed well under 40 pounds. She is back up to a healthy weight and looking good.

Harley is good with other dogs, but she doesn't want other dogs to take her food away which is understandable given how she was treated before. As she has gotten more comfortable, she will even romp, play, and chase with other dogs outside a bit. She is still scared of new things, and will take time to venture out of her comfort zone for walks. She is scared of cars driving by so a quieter neighborhood is a must.

She was shy at first but was the first to warm up and venture around and learn the stairs. At first she was using some potty pads, but is now going outside to do her business since she's more comfortable. She still has accidents in the house and accidents in her crate, so needs a family willing to work with her on this.

She is currently living with a fenced in yard. Harley will be very shy and scared in new situations and will need time to warm up.
Kids recommended age 7 and up who are used to being around dogs. Harley can be a barker at times and is not recommend for an apartment or townhome with shared walls. Harley will need to have a single family home and also need to have a fenced in yard. Harley is not good with cats or other small animals.

Harley is a super sweet and wonderful girl.

There are great articles out there written about the different stages a pet goes through after adoption, discussing transitions that happen at 3 days, 3 weeks, and 3 months. We highly recommend reading about this - it will help you understand the transition your new pet goes through.
