Harley is approximately 1 year old and is a border collie mix. He stands 24” at the shoulder and is a tall, lanky boy. Harley is a sweet, happy boy that loves to play with squeaky toys, chews on bones and loves to wrestle with his foster brother Zach. He is fully house-trained and sleeps through the night without interruptions. Harley likely didn’t get much of any training by his previous owner so he is a work in progress. He is learning “look at me”, “sit”, “come” and “down” commands right now and we are working on his leash-walking and crate training. He is still very reactive during walks when meeting other dogs, bikes, cars and other distractions right now. He has a lot of energy and needs a good amount of exercise several times during the day. After his active period he will just curl up on the couch or on the floor like a good boy. He also loves to give sloppy kisses and cuddles.

Harley is looking for a home with an active family. He would be a good jogging buddy and is a very smart boy and quick learner, who learned to use the doggy door within an hour. His adoptive family should enjoy working with Harley on his obedience exercises and playtime and socialization with visitors coming to the home. I would not recommend him in a home with kids under 15. Harley would love a dog buddy of similar size that enjoys wrestling as much as he does. He’s a middle of the pack kind of boy. He's adorable when playing with his squeaky toys.
