Harley Australian Shepherd Mix Maple Glen, PA

Meet Harley. This poor girl just couldn’t catch a break! First she and her brother were surrendered to a kill shelter! Then they were saved by an awesome rescue and placed in foster to adopt care where they lived for 6 months before the family decided the pair was too much and gave them the boot with no warning! This rescue was stuck with no option as they are currently closing their doors and so we offered to step in and take over for this cute pair. We are all a village and this was a loving transaction no bad vibes at all for them they love these dogs and check on them often. So back to Harley. Night one was rough to be honest she was scared and growly when loose in the yard, and a little in the cage, but after a couple days, treats, food, and patience - putty in our hand! She’s great with everyone including multiple volunteers. Fabulous with other dogs. Housebroken, crate trained, good car riders, and relatively well mannered. With an experienced handler who is not intimidated this dog is a real joy to work with and rewarding to see the transformation as she settles in. Very playful in nature she’s a lot of fun. SHe’d benefit from a fenced in yard and k9 friend.
