Harley 4 Poodle & Maltipoo Mix Los Alamitos, CA

Harley 4 is a male 2 year old poodle mix, he is just about 20 lbs. He was adopted from us as a young pup and was just returned as he was not a fit for his home. The good: Harley is friendly with most, comes up and greets people nicely, says hello to other dogs, rolls over for belly rubs. He is good on the leash, likes his toys and treats and knows some commands such as sit and down. He does have some negative qualities too though, he can be posessive in his home/food and new people in the home need to go slow (slow intros/snacks/controlled setting). He also has a startle strong startle reflex and does not do well when quickly woken up from sleeping or if he is snuck up on. Finally, he hates some appliances such as the vaccum and should be in another room or crate when they are used. If you can get past his quirks and are willing to work with a sometimes reactive dog, he is a fun, loving, super snuggly lap dog who loves walks/runs and exercise and outgings. He is doing amazing in his foster home and when we have seen him bark/act aggressively he has been pretty easy to re-direct.
Most of our dogs are not available to an out of the area adoption because of difficulty to follow up. If you do not live within a 2 hr drive of Orange County, please email us before applying to see if the dog you are interested is may be a candidate for long distance adoption. We only make consider long distance adoptions for dogs who have been in our rescue for 6 plus months with no local candidates.

We do not have a shelter so individual appointments must be made to meet the pet you are interested in. Our pets are fostered/boarded all over LA and Orange County.
This pet is altered, vaccinated, microchipped, and has had a brief temperament evaluation to help us determine what type of a home he/she would thrive in. Please note that we put lots of time and effort to make sure our pets are ready to be someone's perfect pet before they go home.... and to make sure that we will have the best possible match for this pet we do require an : application, interview, adoption fee and in some case a home check.
