The Handsome Rule-Follower (Who Occasionally Cheats)
Meet Hades—a 75-pound, one-year-old German Shepherd who’s basically a well-trained honor student with a mischievous streak. He’ll wait for your command before eating, knows a handful of commands and sign language, and will absolutely pretend he didn’t just sneak your sock… until you catch him, and then he’s suddenly Mr. Perfect again. It’s honestly impressive.
Hades is the perfect blend of smart, silly, and sweet. He’s got just enough shepherd in him to follow rules, and just enough goofball to make you laugh every day. He’s gentle with dogs of all shapes and sizes, respectful with cats, and has been great with kids. He’s a little hesitant around new people at first, but belly rubs and snacks are his love language—and once you’re in, you’re in.
He’s fully potty trained, crate-trained (though he might throw a light protest whine), and a solid leash walker with occasional bursts of "ooh squirrel!" energy. His play style is a mix of tag, wrestling, and occasionally convincing himself he’s the fastest thing on four legs. And when he’s not showing off, he’s more than happy to flop next to you for a snack-fueled nap.
Hades would thrive in a home with a yard and someone who appreciates structure and routine—but also doesn’t mind a little playful chaos. He’s sharp, affectionate, and just enough of a rascal to keep life interesting.
If you’re looking for a best friend who’s got brains, loyalty, and a tiny streak of rule-bending charm, Hades might be your guy. Just hide your socks.
