Meet Gypsy Rose

Meet Gypsy Rose!

Gypsy Rose is about 6 months old, 37lbs, and looks like she may have Lab in her mix. In her foster home she is working on her house training, does great in her crate trained, and knows how to walk on leash. She loves to hike, play with other dogs, and cuddle. Rosie's ideal family would be very active and adventurous. Rosie would be great in any home as long as she is taken out often and gets regular exercise. She would be great with a single person or with a family. She loves people. Rosie loves dogs and would love a permanent playmate, but does just as well on her own with plenty of toys and human affection. Rosie is still a puppy and is still loosing her baby teeth. She will occasionally try to chew on furniture, rocks, carpet, but she understands "NO" and will stop. She needs lots of toys and chew things to satisfy her desire to chew and will usually chew one of those. She chews on other things to get your attention. She could join a home with kids 10+ and other dogs. We don't know how she is with cats.

In addition, adopters should be home for the majority of the day (including post-pandemic) and have a positive reinforcement trainer picked out to enroll their dog with. Force-free training classes/sessions are required for all adopted dogs in order to set them and their new families up for success. Adopters should be prepared to also continue their dog's socialization and experiences with new people, places, and things, as well as expect to help them fine tune any previous training.

Her foster says, "Rosie is one of the most amazing puppies I have ever known!!! She is so smart and loving. She understands basic commands (no, come here, sit), and we're still working on more. Rosie is a cuddly goofball of love. She is friendly to everyone and dogs. She is one happy puppy!! :D She is almost house broken. Rosie is so entertaining. She will fetch, but she's also very content with playing fetch with herself. She loves stuffed animals, tennis balls, ropes..., the more the better. She will follow you everywhere. Rosie loves to be where you are. If you're on the couch or bed, she likes to lay next to you. If you work from home, she'll hang out with you. When she's really tired, she'll put herself to bed. She LOVES belly rubs. She will stop doing anything if you start rubbing her belly. She's great in the car. She stays in the back and normally just lays down. She does like to look out the front window at times. Rosie has been an absolute joy to foster!!! She will be the most loyal and well-behaved furbaby for one lucky family."
