Hi friends, I’m Gwenny! I am only a year old and really want a family of my own. I have waited soooo long! Could you possibly be the family I’ve been waiting for? ? My foster family says I’m the bestest girl, so I don’t understand why I’m still here! I have learned to walk great on my leash and I’m getting pretty good at this potty training stuff. I only have rare accidents now. I love to play ball, run, and work on my tan in the sun. Also, I’m a super-pro at snuggling as well, just in case you were wondering. ??I tend to be a little shy at first, and loud noises do startle me but, I am still getting accustomed to this big world around me. I have learned to be patient in my crate for only a few hours at a time now. I’m a work in progress ya know…

I was thinking about my ideal home and here’s what I think..I would love a fenced in yard (this is not required as long as you keep me active) so I can do uninhibited zoomies, and, if you throw in a kid or two, I would be in absolute heaven! No small ones though, I wouldn’t want to accidentally knock them over, you know, they are kind of unsteady on their feet already. If no yard, I love other doggies and would be content with play dates. A fur brother or sister to play with when I tire my kids out would be awesome, but not necessarily required either. Your Current Pets - We do require that your current dogs and cats are current on vaccines and spayed/neutered.

Adoptions - We do not have a shelter and are a foster-home based organization. We do require that you have an approved adoption application to schedule a meet and greet. You can fill out an adoption application on our website, www.herorescue.org/adopt. Once your application is approved it will be sent to the foster family that is currently caring for the dog. They will be able to provide information on likes, dislikes, personality, etc. They will also schedule a time for you to meet the dog. We do require a home visit prior to adoption.
