This beauty is Gwen!

Gwen is an approximately 4-year old female German Shepherd/Great Pyrenees mix and weighs around 65-70 lbs.

Gwen was rescued on her last day at a local shelter, marked to be euthanized due to extreme shyness. It has taken her awhile to overcome her fears and shyness, but she is doing so great! She has really warmed up to people and although she is not dog aggressive, she is scared of other dogs.

When Gwen is confronted by a playful dog, she runs off. She would do best as an only dog or with a very laid back dog that won't be in her face. We have listed her as special needs due to her fear of other dogs. We have consulted a trainer who feels she can overcome this fear with the right dog in the home.

She is affectionate to those she knows and after she is comfortable with you, she loves to run and play in the yard. A secure stockade fence is REQUIRED.

Gwen is in a boarding situation and has not lived in a home. She keeps a clean kennel at boarding, but could have accidents adjusting to a new environment. She need a patient adopter willing to let her come out of her shell on her own time table.

Gwen is crate & leash trained.

Gwen is spayed, current on vaccines, on heartworm preventative, and microchipped. Her adoption fee is $200.
