Gus Chihuahua & Rat Terrier Mix Cypress, TX

Hi! I’m Gus! I was found wondering down the street a few weeks ago. When my foster family found me, I was dehydrated, malnourished and very weak. Every day, I have gotten stronger and healthier! I’m starting to play more and I keep up pretty good with my foster siblings!

I am a senior pup, likely around 12 years old (I forgot my birthday), but I am very happy and love to explore! I get along well with my foster sister dogs and my foster mom thinks I would get along with a cat because I am a very chill guy. I don’t really like being picked up, so would probably do best with a family with older kids who understand this. I do like my teenage foster sister.

My foster mom says I have a very calm, gentle, and sweet personality. I love going for walks, going outside and exploring the house. I love cheese, treats, and getting my ears rubbed! If you don’t pet me enough, I’ll nudge you with my nose for more pets! I am a little timid at first, but I warm up quickly if you are gentle with me.

I would love to find a family who will be patient with me as I get to know you and who will give me the love and spoiling I deserve in my golden years! I love being where everyone is and will be a loyal companion.
